Music Curriculum Intent
At Bushfield Road Infant School pupils have opportunities to develop their love of music and the confidence to make and enjoy their own musical experiences.
Music is used as a tool to raise self-esteem and creativity as well as engaging pupils and supporting them in their learning across the curriculum. All pupils are exposed to a range of music across genres and time periods, encouraging them to develop their own musical interests.
Pupils develop their understanding and acceptance of all forms of music, respecting that music can be a personal expression that is unique to individuals.
Our pupils leave Bushfield Road Infant School as confident individuals, enthused by their musical experiences and inspired to continue their individual musical journeys.
