Pupil Support

The school provides a broad and balanced curriculum for all children, regardless of disability or learning difficulty.

Teachers take account of individual needs and requirements, and make provision, where necessary, to support individuals or groups of children to ensure effective participation in curriculum and assessment activities.

The school has created a Provision Map which identifies a wide range of strategies, intervention programmes and specialist agencies to help meet the needs of all children within school.

Intervention strategies include speech/language support, self esteem groups, a specialised programme for children with poor pencil control and balance, daily flash cards/Jolly phonics, Maths and Writing Booster groups as well as extension groups for those pupils identified as gifted and talented.
